10-Day Sailing Tour – April 2 – 12, 2027
Friday, April 2 – Arrive Athens, taxi to hotel near Alimos Marina, enjoy dinner at one of the many nearby local restaurants. Meals Provided – None
Saturday, April 3 – Provision your individual needs in the morning and check in at Alimos Marina at 5PM. Spend the evening getting familiar with the boat and your crew. Meals Provided – Dinner
Sunday, April 4 – Palaia Epidavros – A beautiful port town set in a broad, clear bay; Epidaurus is a lovely spot for a visit and home to the spectacular Epidaurus Theater. Constructed in the 4th century BC and extended in Roman times, performances are still held here today. Praised for its symmetry and beauty throughout history, Epidaurus Theater is a must see. Meals Provided – Breakfast and Lunch
Monday and Tuesday, April 5 & 6 – Poros Town – Sail to the island of Poros in the morning of the 5th. Poros Town is a weekend getaway for overworked Athenians, and it’s easy to see why. Poros combines tranquil countryside with lively nightspots, and as you’d expect from a Greek island the beaches are fantastic too. Stay in Poros Town and enjoy the energetic nightlife. Meals Provided – Breakfast (4/5 & 4/6) and Lunch (4/5)
Wednesday and Thursday, April 7 & 8 – Ageina – Agia Marina – Take the day and explore the Temple of Aphaia, the most complete restoration of a Greek Temple. Rent scooters and explore the island in the afternoon. Spend your second day on your own, exploring the town of Agia Marina or continue on scooter or car tours of Aegina. Meals Provided – Breakfast (4/7 & 4/8) and Lunch (4/7)
Friday, April 9 – Alimos – Sail back to Alimos Marina in the afternoon and prepare for Saturday departure from the boat. Spend your last night aboard the boat. Meals Provided – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Saturday, April 10 – Drop your luggage at the hotel in the morning and explore Athens, either by public transportation, on foot or private taxi. Meals Provided – Breakfast

Wednesday and Thursday, April 14 (April 28) and 15 (April 29) – Two day land tour begins. The tour will begin in Athens bright and early, where your driver will guide you on a two-day adventure filled with unforgettable memories along a beautiful and picturesque route. Meals Provided – None
The Legend of Thermopylae
The historic battle of Thermopylae occurred in 480AD, pitting the Persians led by King Xerxes against the 300 Spartans under King Leonidas. The battleground of Thermopylae is renowned for the historic clash between 300 Spartan warriors led by King Leonidas and the Persian forces in 480 BC. This site holds great importance in Greek history and European history as a whole. A memorial statue of King Leonidas stands in Thermopylae, bearing the iconic phrase “Molon Lave,” translated as “Come and get it.” This defiant response was famously uttered by Leonidas in defiance of the Persians’ demand for surrendering their weapons.
After Thermopylae, journeying through Central Greece towards the lush plain of Thessaly (known as the birthplace of Achilles), you will eventually arrive in the charming town of Kalambaka, nestled at the base of Meteora, as the sun begins to set after nearly 4 hours of traveling.
The imposing and majestic rocky cliffs of the Holy Meteora in the prefecture of Trikala are a breathtaking sight, formed by fossil shells and showcasing a fascinating geological phenomenon. The rocks tower up to 400 meters in this remarkable landscape.
We will reach Kalambaka late in the afternoon, where we will spend the night.
The second day of the tour kicks off with a visit to the awe-inspiring monasteries of Meteora, nestled atop towering rocks and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architectural marvel of these monasteries perched high above the ground offers a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors.
Byzantine Monasteries of the 11th Century

As you drive back to Athens on the highway, you’ll come across the town of Thebes. This town is famous from ancient Greek stories and plays like Antigone and Oedipus. Thebes used to be a strong city-state in ancient Greece and it’s also where the legendary hero Hercules was born.
Your driver will return you to our hotel. This allows you to relax after a day exploring Central Greece’s wonders.
Friday, April 16 (April 30) – Cape Sounion, Temple of Poseidon and Greek Riviera Day Tour Meals Provided – None
On your way to Cape Sounion you will enjoy the ride through the Athenian Riviera that has established itself as a world class destination combining beaches, leisure and culture. Driving through the old aristocratic summer resorts of the 50s, 60s and 70s named Palaion Faliro, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza, and staring the fascinating view of the Aegean deep blue, you will find yourself lost in the beauty of Mediterranean nature. Don’t forget nonetheless that the beauty of architecture awaits you a few miles away in the form of the magnificent Temple of Poseidon.
This tour could never be considered complete without visiting the Lake of Vouliagmeni to enjoy its natural beauty that has attracted crowds of Athenians for its thermal waters of 22 celcius stable temperature.
After this short stop you will continue all the way to Cape Sounion. There you will visit the Temple of Poseidon and have time to let your mind roam through ancient monuments with the immense blue of the Aegean Sea as a background. The beauty of the surviving ruins has impressed many travelers of the past centuries who have visited this magical place, among which the famous poet, Lord Byron who wanted to leave his signature on one of the columns. Visit the temple and try to find it yourself.
If you fancy taking a dive in the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, you can choose to do so next to the archaeological site during the Sounion tour and right afterwards enjoy a traditional Greek feast by the sea. Take your time to enjoy a tasteful lunch in a small tavern right by the water hearing the sounds of the sea and admiring the scenery.
After you visit Sounion, you will follow the same seaside winding street. Allow yourselves to enjoy your ride while taking in all the wonderful information you gathered throughout the day.

What is Required?
– Passport, valid for at least 90 days after arrival
– ETIAS, starting in the last quarter of 2026, U.S. citizens will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) travel authorization before entering Europe.
F.A.Q.
What weather can I expect? – Mediterranean weather in early April is typically highs in the mid to upper 60’s during the day and mid to lower 50’s at night. As the month progresses the temperature increases to the low to mid 70’s during the day. Our boats have generators and HVAC systems for comfort during the evenings.
What can I expect to spend ashore for entrance fees, transportation and food? – Food costs for eating at restaurants in Greece are typically 1/3 to 1/2 less than eating at similar style restaurants in the USA. We share taxis, so the average costs for round trip to most sites is usually $15 – $20 per person. Entrance fees vary, but are usually around $25 per person. On previous trips, guests have averaged $80 – $150 per person per day.
How much walking can I expect to do? – A good level of physical fitness is highly recommended for this trip, as it includes considerable walking on varied terrain.
Is there an age limitation for this trip? – This trip is not suitable for children under 12. We also want to make sure that our guests are physically able to walk long distances and traverse the passerelle from the stern of the boat to the dock.
What is staying on a catamaran with a group of people like? – Staying on a 50-foot catamaran with a group sounds dreamy at first—open water, sunsets, the gentle rocking of the boat—but the reality is a mix of magic and mild claustrophobia.
Space is cleverly designed, but it’s still limited. Cabins are compact, often just big enough for a queen bed and a small storage area. You can hear almost everything: footsteps on the deck above, the hum of the generator. Conversations carry easily, especially at night when things quiet down. If someone wakes early or stays up late, everyone more or less knows.
The shared areas—the cockpit, galley, and lounging spots—become the social hub, which is great for bonding but means there’s almost no true escape. Even when you’re technically alone, you’re aware of others nearby. Privacy becomes less about physical separation and more about small social cues: putting on headphones, stepping up to the bow, or taking an extra-long shower (if water supply allows, which usually doesn’t happen).
Bathrooms (heads) are another adjustment. They’re functional but tight, and with multiple people sharing a few of them, timing and etiquette matter. You quickly learn to coordinate without saying much.
That said, there’s something intimate and memorable about it. You fall into a rhythm together—meals, swims, anchoring, sailing—and the lack of privacy can actually deepen connections. But if you’re someone who values solitude, you’ll feel that trade-off pretty quickly. Even the horizon, wide and endless as it is, doesn’t quite make up for the fact that there’s always someone just a few feet away.
